More About Me

I’m a Memphis native who moved to Nashville in 2009 to pursue music with my band (for the curious, it’s Fireworks Over London). Over the years, to make ends meet, more and more of my friends were getting into design and development. By 2013, I decided to go back to school for interactive design. Upon graduation in late 2014, I knew UX was the direction I wanted to take my career, I just needed the right opportunity.

In 2015, I was hired at icitizen, a civic engagement startup. I was hired as a graphic designer to support marketing but the UX team was drowning in work and asked if I had any interest in UX. I said, “YES!” Thanks to some incredible mentors, I transitioned over to the UX team full time after a few months.

Seven years later (and counting), I’ve worked startup, enterprise, and agency. Each area provided so much opportunity to learn, grow, and design some really cool sites, tools, and products. “Full stack designer” is an applicable term. I have experience with user research, developing personas, conducting UX, accessibility, and competitive audits, mapping user flows, IA, creating wireframes, building prototypes, conducting user and usability testing, delivering high fidelity designs.
